F.A.Q

WHAT TYPES OF EVENTS ARE OFFERED BY GEEK'N CHEESE?

Geek'N Cheese organizes conventions and Fanmeet over one or two days during a weekend. The goal is for participants to meet one or more actors from their favorite series and films.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

To attend our events, an entry pass is mandatory and must be purchased in advance from the online ticket office. It is necessary to obtain a place but also to be able to buy Extras.

Some Passes may or may not contain Extras, everything is indicated in their descriptions on the site and when they are put on sale. Some are also payable in instalments.

It is not possible to buy Extras without having first purchased a Pass

WHAT IS AN EXTRA?

An Extra is a paid activity to be purchased upstream or on site, such as:

  • A photo that allows you to be photographed with one or more Guests and to retrieve it in paper format the same day

  • An autograph that allows you to sign a support of your choice or those offered by Geek'N Cheese

  • A Meeting which is a session in small groups (30 people max) with a Guest for a duration of 30 minutes which allows a friendly exchange and a souvenir photo of the group at the end.

  • 1-1 sessions that allow you to spend a short time alone with a guest (5 minutes max) and depending on the Guests, get a selfie at the end of the session.

  • Other activities may be offered depending on the events

  • As stipulated in the T&Cs, no personal photo is allowed during these activities or in the queue when Guests join the rooms.

  • A staff member will be present to provide translation for each of these activities.

WHAT IS A PANEL?

A Panel, sometimes called a Q&A (Questions and Answers) session, is a session that generally lasts 30 to 45 minutes in the main room of the event. The Guest(s) are on stage and answer participants' questions about their careers and roles. (No personal questions are tolerated)

A person on stage will be in charge of the French translation

A queue will be indicated for you to ask your question. We recommend a question that concerns all the Guests present on stage when there are several of them in order to maintain a good interaction with the participants.

In case you don't speak English, the person in charge of the translation on stage will take care of it, so you can ask your question in French if you prefer.

Even if you wait in line, it may be that depending on the duration of Guest responses and the number of questions before you, you may not be able to ask yours. It is not a deliberate choice on our part but the duration of the panels is contractual and moreover we must respect the schedule as best as possible to avoid delays.

HOW TO ATTEND THE EVENT IF I AM A MINOR?

A minor over the age of 16 can attend the event alone provided that they have completed the parental authorization available on the site by a legal guardian.

On the day of the Pass delivery, you will also need to bring a copy of the legal guardian's identity document.

For minors under the age of 16, the presence of an adult is mandatory for the duration of the event. This person must have purchased an Entry Pass as well.

HOW TO ATTEND THE EVENT IF I AM PMR?

PRMs have priority during activities and will also be placed in front of the panel room.

You must notify us in advance after purchasing your Pass so that we can organize ourselves and best anticipate your arrival so that you can enjoy your event.

If the presence of an accompanying person is necessary, he or she will be able to obtain a Pass for free, Pass not including any Extra. On the other hand, he will have to buy his own extras if he wishes to be photographed, or obtain a signed autograph support for example.

HOW DOES THE D-DAY PASS DELIVERY WORK?

To recover your Pass, you must bring your proof of purchase version as well as an identity document with photo. It is not possible to withdraw the Pass from another person.

If I am a minor, I must also bring parental authorization and a copy of the legal guardian's identity document in paper format only.

If you have purchased Extras beforehand, you will also need to bring proof of purchase to be able to collect your Extra tickets.

Digital proofs of purchase are accepted, however we are not responsible for any network, battery, Wi-Fi, etc. problems related to your phone. You will also be asked to anticipate these possible problems, or to plan to print your proofs of purchase to avoid any problems on D-Day

PLACEMENT AND ALLOCATED NUMBER

Your Pass has a number, which is also your seat number in the panel room.

This number is also important for calls during Extras sessions. Indeed, you may be called by type of Pass but sometimes also by number.

It is important to be present as much as possible in this room so as not to miss calls on the screens of the room and at the microphone.

CAN WE BE SEVERAL ON A PHOTO WITH ONE EXTRA?

For photo sessions with a single Guest, No. Otherwise you will need to have as many extra tickets as participants.

For Duo / Trio / Group photo sessions, one ticket entitles you to be up to 2 participants in the photo.

Only one photo will be printed. Reprinting is possible, it is a paid service.

CAN I HAVE SEVERAL AUTOGRAPHS SIGNED WITH ONE EXTRA?

No, an Extra Autograph ticket entitles you to a signature and therefore only one medium. However, you can buy several tickets if you want to sign more than one support.

I HAVE SEVERAL ACTIVITIES AT THE SAME TIME ON THE SCHEDULE

It happens that activities take place at the same time, do not panic, everything is planned on site. Staff members will give clear instructions in the panel room so that the people concerned have priority, you must be attentive and do not respect the order of call so as not to delay the schedule.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF AN EVENT?

Timings vary from event to event, but generally run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. maximum, including a lunch break. As indicated in the T&Cs, we advise you not to take return tickets too close to the end time, for those coming by train or plane because delays are possible.

This will not result in a refund of Extras, should you need to leave the event before the end.

CAN I GIVE A PASS OR EXTRA TO SOMEONE?

This is possible on condition that you indicate the name, first name and e-mail address of this person. She will be the only one able to recover them on D-Day. You cannot recover them for him.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS DURING THE EVENT?

Videos are prohibited throughout the duration of the event with the exception of the opening and closing ceremonies.

Photos without flash are authorized only in the panel room, unless otherwise stated before the start of the panel by a member of Staff

Photos are prohibited during any other activity, as well as in the hallways where queues take place.

Anyone who does not respect these rules may be excluded from the event without the possibility of reimbursement, as indicated in the T&Cs.

HOW TO OBTAIN MY PHOTO IN DIGITAL VERSION?

The procedure will be communicated after the event. There will be a package to recover all your photos, you will also have the possibility to buy them individually.

Depending on the events, it is possible that it is included in the price of the extra, this will be indicated when the Guest is announced and the Extras are put on sale.

WHAT PROCEDURE IF A GUEST CANCEL HIS ARRIVAL?

For personal or professional reasons, it may happen that a Guest can no longer attend the event. As indicated in the T&Cs, this is not a valid reason for refunding the Pass. The team will make every effort to replace the Guest and offer you replacement solutions for the Extras. You have to wait for the instructions given by the team for credit or refund terms

IF THE EVENT IS CANCELED BY GEEK'N CHEESE, WHAT PROCEDURE?

If the association comes to completely cancel an event, you have nothing to do on your side. Refunds would be made within a maximum of 2 months following the announcement of the cancellation.
